Liza born in New Jersey and her childhood was spent traveling throughout Europe with her parents, who were the members of ‘The Mad House of London’, a comedy Troupe. Soon after, her family settled in Pennsylvania, where she graduated from North Penn High school in 1995 and her mom started taking her to New York for auditions and she began performing in local theater. She began traveling to the city alone for auditions at the age of 16 and her parents helped guide her career. Her theatrical performances include such plays as “Our Town” and “The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-In-The-Moon Marigolds”. She moved to New York and began doing student films at Columbia University. She made her film debut in ‘Whatever’. She also made her appearance on “Stir of Echoes” with Kevin Bacon, ‘Dragonfly’ with Kevin Costner. She has also appeared Off-Broadway in the Playwright’s Horizon production of “Life By Asphyxiation” and has performed onstage in several regional productions.
Liza Weil stars as the brainy Paris Geller on “Gilmore Girls.” She also guest starred in ‘ER’ as the wife of a murderous patient and ‘The West Wing’ as an intern. On stage, she recently starred in a production of “Proof”.
She currently lives in Los Angeles.
