Free spirited “Lorelai Gilmore” has made her share of mistaken in her life, but since she had become a mother at a young age of sixteen, against the wishes of her mother & father ; she’s made sure that her daughter “Rory Gilmore” doesn’t follow in her footsteps. After sixteen years, she enjoys a warm relationship with her daughter.

They are each other’s best friend in the world. Mother & daughter share the same interests, the same intellect, the same coffee addiction, and specially the same eyes. Rory is more serious than her mother but there are some tendencies that favors that she is her mother’s daughter. Lorelai also has to contend with her parents who think they know what’s best for Rory and Lorelai. Lorelai still has the heart of a teenager, and you can see a piece of Lorelai in everything Rory does.

Right from the birth of Rory, the two have been everything each other. Lorelai made a prosperous life for her and Rory through her job as a successful manager in an inn that she had opened as a business partner with Mr. Sookie. But Lorelai’s parents do not like this type of job. When Rory was accepted to a highly prestigious private high school, Lorelai was forced to connect again with her parents in order to pay the tuition needed for Rory to attend the school.

Gilmore girls was created as an initiative to bring more family-friendly drama to American television and was premiered on the WB network on October 5, 2000.The series came to a close after 7 seasons. But despite all of the ups and downs Rory and Lorelai face, the Gilmore girls will always be the best of friends, despite their ever-changing lives.
